Guided Trail Ride

Enjoy a western-style, one-hour guided ride on a horse chosen to match your skill level. Travel with up to 8 fellow guests along beautiful trails through the woodlands and meadows of the estate.

To participate in this activity, guest must have a daytime ticket, a Biltmore Annual Pass, or a stay at one of the estate’s splendid overnight properties.

For horse and rider safety:

• All guests are required to weigh in upon arrival; weight limit is 250 lbs.
• Long pants recommended; skirts and dresses not permitted.
• Shoes with closed toe and heel (tennis shoes or boots) are required.
• Minimum age is 8 years (must be 8 years old on day of ride).
• Guest 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
• Helmets are required and will be provided.

30-Minute Carriage Ride

Returns March 21.

Experience the estate’s beauty during your 30-minute ride aboard our 10-person wagonette carriage. A brief stop along the way provides stunning views of Biltmore House and an opportunity to meet the horses.

To participate in this activity, guest must have a daytime ticket, a Biltmore Annual Pass, or a stay at one of the estate’s splendid overnight properties.

One child under 5 years of age free with each ticketed adult when they sit on the adult’s lap during the ride.

One-Hour Carriage Ride

Returns March 21.

Board our 6-passenger vis-a-vis carriage for a leisurely 60-minute ride that offers breathtaking Blue Ridge mountain views and a rarely-seen view of Biltmore House’s west façade.

To participate in this activity, guest must have a daytime ticket, a Biltmore Annual Pass, or a stay at one of the estate’s splendid overnight properties.

One child under 5 years of age free with each ticketed adult when they sit on the adult’s lap during the ride.

Private Carriage Ride

Closed for the season.

This 90-minute ride in an elegant vis-á-vis carriage allows up to 4 guests to tour George Vanderbilt’s magnificent estate just as his guests did more than a century ago.

Minimum 48 hours advance reservations are required. Also available for weddings.

To participate in this activity, guest must have a daytime ticket, a Biltmore Annual Pass, or a stay at one of the estate’s splendid overnight properties.

Private Horseback Trail Ride

Relax with a private, two-hour horseback ride as your expert guide leads 2-4 guests through the estate’s extensive network of outstanding trails.
