Ideas for One Day Visits

Inside Tip: Add a next-day upgrade for only $10 at the Reservation & Ticket Center on the day of your visit.
With the addition of the new Antler Hill Village, one day is barely enough experience all that Biltmore offers. We recommend at least two days if possible. If your time is limited to one day, here are some tips on making the most of your day, based on your Biltmore House Reservation time.

MORNING BILTMORE HOUSE ENTRY TIME

Biltmore House & Gardens

Come early and start your morning with a coffee and pastry from the Biltmore Bake Shop located next to Biltmore House; you'll get a chance to take in the stunning beauty of the estate and relax before your reserved house entry time.  Plus, you'll be right next to the house, so no need to hurry around.
Make your way to the house door about 5 minutes before your reserved entry time. Enjoy your journey through Biltmore House. What a way to begin the day!
Next, explore our gardens. Designed by Frederick Law Olmsted (famed Central Park creator), our gardens were named one of the Top Ten Botanical Gardens in the World by Travel + Leisure.

Dine

Relax over lunch at any of our fabulous restaurants. The Stable Café is next to Biltmore House, or you may want to dine buffet style at Deerpark Restaurant. Another option is to make your way to the new Antler Hill Village which features the relaxing Bistro and fun new Cedric’s Tavern.

Antler Hill Village

Head over to the new Antler Hill Village where you’ll experience more of Biltmore’s story at our newest gathering space located where estate families socialized a century ago.

Winery Delight in free wine tastings and a redesigned self-guided tour to learn how we make award-winning wines. See Edith Vanderbilt’s rare 1913 Stevens-Duryea automobile—one of 10 in existence—on display beginning May 20.

The Biltmore Legacy Learn more about how the Vanderbilts lived with exhibits featuring historical family photos and objects from the Biltmore collection. Discover how their descendants continue to preserve the estate with an 8-minute film, and enjoy presentations on decorating and entertaining by designers combining estate-inspired products with the legacy of Vanderbilt hospitality.

Village Green Relax with music and storytelling each afternoon at the centerpiece of our new village.  

Farm Explore farm life in the early 1900s with knowledgeable interpreters and exhibits in our historic Barn. Meet friendly animals in the Farmyard and stroll the Kitchen Garden.

Gardens

Take advantage of the cool gardens in the morning. Discover why our stunning gardens have been included in the Top Ten Botanical Gardens of the World by Travel + Leisure.

Lunch

Enjoy lunch at the Stable Café, located next to Biltmore House. In addition, make time to visit our unique shops.

Biltmore House

Head for the grand Biltmore House next. Arrive at the door at least 5 minutes before your reserved entry time.

Antler Hill Village

Next, visit our winery in the Antler Hill Village and enjoy complimentary tastings. Relax on the Village Green with live music and storytellers. Stroll through The Biltmore Legacy and learn more about the Vanderbilts and their descendants who continue to preserve the estate today. Enjoy a fun dinner at our new Cedric’s Tavern where the décor, ambience, and menu pay tribute to the neighborhood pubs of Britain and Ireland.

AFTERNOON BILTMORE HOUSE ENTRY TIME

Antler Hill Village

Make your first stop our new Antler Hill Village. Start with the Biltmore Legacy and learn more about the Vanderbilts and their descendants who continue to preserve the estate today. Soak up the ambience of this charming 15-acre village. Relax on the Village Green. Stroll through the Antler Hill Farm. The Barn in Antler Hill Village—once the social and work center for these families—is alive again with blacksmiths, woodworkers, and other craft demonstrations.

Dine

Savor lunch at Cedric’s Tavern surrounded by archival photographs related to the Vanderbilt’s favorite family pet—a St. Bernard named Cedric. Look for his 33” collar on display, as well.

Winery

Your next stop should be the Winery for a leisurely complimentary tasting of our award-winning wines.

Then, on to the grand gardens surrounding Biltmore House.

End your visit with great shopping at our Stable area shops or Gate House.
