River Float Trips
April–October
Wonder at the amazing views as you follow the gentle French Broad River as it winds through the estate. Travel by raft with a well-trained guide or kayak on your own (depending on water level and water temperature).
Self-Guided Kayak Rentals
Daily, 4/4-5/28 & 9/7-10/1: 1:30 p.m. 5/29-9/6: 10 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m. Call 800-411-3812 to reserve.Enjoy a self-guided float on the beautiful French Broad River in a single or tandem sit-on-top kayak.
Cost: $25.00 per person ages 3 and up, in addition to estate admission. Youth 17 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Muts be at least 3 years old and weight at least 35 lbs.
River Outing Checklist
- Wear weather appropriate clothing: river sandals or sneakers are required.
- Sunscreen and bottled water are recommended.
- Children must be three years old and at least 35 lbs. to participate.
- Youth under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
- Youth under 18 years of age must have an adult sign their liability release.
- Please arrive at the Outdoor Adventure Center 15 minutes prior to reservation time. Outdoor Adventure Center phone: 828-225-1425.
- Availability is dependent on river and weather conditions.
- Tickets are non-refundable unless cancelled by the Outdoor Adventure Center.

Explore Biltmore Pass
An Explore Biltmore Pass provides all the benefits of a Twelve-Month Passholder, plus access to estate bicycle trails at no additional cost, and discounts on selected outdoor experiences. This discount benefit may be extended to one non-passholder guest. Guest must have estate admission.
