Take to the Trails
Bring your bike or rent one from us. Biltmore is a cyclist's paradise with miles of trails. Choose from challenging trails for experienced mountain bikers, an easy paved trail that follow the French Broad River, or well-marked woodland trails that wind through whisper-quiet forests and wildflower meadows.
Bike Pass
Your bike pass includes access to all our Biltmore bike paths for the day, plus a free map of the trails. All cyclists must check in with the Explore Biltmore Outdoor Center.Reservations required until opening of Antler Hill Village and the new Outdoor Adventure Center. Please contact 828-225-1425 to make an appointment.
Cost: $5.00 per guest, in addition to estate admission.
Bike Rental
Bike rentals are suspended for the winter as we await the completion of the new Outdoor Adventure Center in Antler Hill Village. Bike rentals will resume in the spring. Please contact the Outdoor Center directly for more information. 828-225-1425
Guided Bike Ride
48-hour reservation required. Call 800-411-3812 to reserve.Let one of our knowledgeable guides design a biking adventure for you.
Cost: $35.00 per person for two hours, in addition to estate admission. Add a bike rental for $10.00. Longer rides can be customized upon request.
Cyclist's Checklist
- Biking is not allowed on Biltmore’s paved driving roads for the safety of our guests. The majority of Biltmore’s trail system is packed gravel and dirt.
- Guests bringing their own bike, remember to check in at the Outdoor Center prior to riding to purchase your trail pass and to receive a detailed trail orientation, including a map of the designated trails.
- The bike trail pass fee is waived for inn guests and Explore Biltmore and Equestrian Twelve-Month Passholders. Inn guests and Explore Biltmore and Equestrian Twelve-Month Passholders are still required to check in at the Outdoor Center prior to riding to to pick up a complimentary trail pass and to receive a detailed trail orientation, including a map of the designated trails.
- Bike rentals are available daily beginning this spring.
- Bring your own bike or rent a bike from us.
- Bring your water bottle, sunscreen, and comfortable biking clothes.
- Helmets are required when riding on Biltmore.
- Youth under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
- Youth under 18 years of age must have an adult sign their liability release.
- Access to trails is limited and weather dependent.

Explore Biltmore Pass
An Explore Biltmore Pass provides all the benefits of a Twelve-Month Passholder, plus access to estate bicycle trails at no additional cost, and discounts on selected outdoor experiences. This discount benefit may be extended to one non-passholder guest. Guest must have estate admission.
