What is the minimum group size?

The minimum group size is five participants.

Can individuals enroll in programs?

Currently, we do not offer programs for individual enrollment.

Where are classes held?

Programs are held on Biltmore Estate at the Inn on Biltmore Estate as well as our Lioncrest meeting facility. We can also conduct programs at your off-site facility.

Is there an age requirement for BCPD programs?

Participants must be 18 years of age, excluding customized youth programs.

Are CEU credits available?

Yes, see the IACET Authorized Provider section of our site for details.

Are there any discounts on the program price?

Our programs already include a discount for groups. We are competitively priced in the marketplace and consistently receive feedback that our programs are a good value. If your organization is a local (Western North Carolina) not-for-profit, please contact us to learn about our community service initiatives and how we may partner together.

Can I combine a program with tours or other Estate activities?

Yes, we can combine your program to include team building, behind-the-scenes tours, outdoor activities, private dining experiences, special events at the Winery, etc. Contact us to learn about the many options that can make your event a well-rounded learning experience.

Can we add a business tour to our presentation?

Yes, we call these business tours "Field Experiences" and our one day, two day, and two-and-a-half day programs already include them. We have a variety of options for each business development topic designed to get you out of the classroom to see best practices in action.

If we add a Field Experience, what transportation arrangements need to be made?

We require one bus for 25 people and this is available through Biltmore, no need to charter. The fee for this service is included in your field experience fee.

Can you tailor a program to my specific group, audience, or industry?

Yes. When you purchase a Group Program, we customize elements of the experience to your industry.

What are the differences in the formats of the professional development programs you offer?

  • 3-Hour Workshop – Survey course covering general best practices and providing an opportunity for personal action planning.
  • 1-Day Seminar – Classroom and field experiences combine with guest speaker panels and experiential activities to form a more complete training solution.
  • 2 1/2 Day Program – Most comprehensive platform, covering each survey topic in depth. Includes multiple field experiences, speaker panels with subject matter experts, and experiential activities. Also provides personal action planning and a wealth of resources to use upon return.
  • Customized Solutions – Let us design a custom program tailored to the needs of your group.

Who are your facilitators?

Our professional facilitators come from varied backgrounds, all with significant training/field experience; they are Biltmore's best, highly skilled in business and excellent communicators.

Will we hear from your executive leaders?

Yes, this is one of the benefits of our program. Our executives (directors and above) will be part of the expert panel during one day and two-and-a-half day courses. What is a Needs Analysis?

To develop your Customized Solutions we will walk through your needs and outcomes to create a proposal that includes our program recommendations, price, and timeline. Pricing varies according to program length, learning objectives, guest speakers, number of participants, field experiences, activities, etc.

What is the cost of a Customized Solution?

Each program is specifically designed to suit your needs and will be competitively priced. However, because this is a custom fit, the price will be as well.
