Educational Biltmore House Tours

Learn more about the Vanderbilts, the history of Biltmore House and its treasures with an escorted visit in the house. Groups of 20 or more may purchase reduced-price tickets.

  • Hosts greet groups in front of Biltmore House to offer a brief introduction that includes the estate's Code of Behavior.
  • This tour includes the public rooms of Biltmore House. Hosts highlight collections and bring the Vanderbilts, their guests, and domestic staff to life.
  • Groups are divided into sub-groups of 20-22 for the Biltmore House tour.
  • Escorted visits of Biltmore House are available Monday through Friday.
  • Hosts are scheduled according to your reservation time; we ask that you be prompt.
  • Reservations are limited during peak seasons. Please make arrangements as early as possible.

Prepare your students for and follow up their Biltmore House escorted visit using lesson plans, workbooks, and activities for grades three through six, linked to the NC Standard Course of Study.

Additional Adults and Parents

Additional adults are invited to participate in the Biltmore House tour with their children.
  • Discount tickets are available for additional adults at $36.00 per adult.
  • These tickets must be purchased with the student tickets. The reservation for any additional adults must be made at least 14 days prior to arrival date. Any additional adults added within the 14 days will be self-guided.
